Round 1 total success

Well race fans, Round 1 of the EMRA series is complete. 51racing did well enough even though they encountered serious technical challenges including a low side fall in turn 2 on day 1. The fall caused extensive damage to the teams new titanium Arrow pipe, essentially rendering it scrap metal. The team rode on in spite of the severe restriction to airflow which caused the fuel injection to cut in and out. There also appeared to be damage to the tip-over sensor which periodically cut out the ignition at the most inopportune times.

The team's number one rider claimed an 11th place in the Senior Open, 14th in Sportbike Open Intermediate a 5th in Formula Thunder and a 10th place in Superbike Intermediate. Rick Newcombe also set a personal best time before the day 1 crash of 1:06.25 and was well on his way to breaking into the "1:05's" on the might RC51.
